M&S works with selected dairy farmers who run their farms in ways that fit with Plan A aims. For example, one of the M&S Select dairy farmers in Northern Ireland feeds the cows on a 100% soya-free and grass-based diet with nutritious cereals and pulses, and invests in cow comfort, including buying toys for the cows to play with. The location of the farm also allows lush grass to grow all year round, ensuring the cows can graze at every opportunity. 

M&S beef is 100% traceable. This means that M&S beef can be traced back to the farm and animal it came from.
