Black and white photograph taken in 1923 showing a collection of Roman artefacts from the Honley Hoard which was discovered in 1893 in Honley, a village in West Yorkshire. The image includes Roman coins, newer silver coins, coins from the Coritani tribe, and Roman trinkets. The items are arranged in neat rows, with detailed inscriptions and profiles of emperors visible on some of the coins. The other trinkets appear to be a fibula (brooch), two earrings, and a decorated wheel-shaped object. At the top of the image lies a piece of pottery or bone with a textured surface. The Honley Hoard

Coins and objects found at Honley, 7th November 1893.

The Honley Hoard is a mixed group of old Roman silver and newer bronze coins, coins of the Coritani tribe, and Roman trinkets.
