Female Factory Workers Making Box Lids for WW1 Shells in Leeds.

Image shows girls making box lids for the cartridge packing cases at the No. 1. National Filling Factory in Barnbow, Leeds, during World War 1, which was staffed almost entirely by women. Here workers are using circular saws to cut wood to size.
