This black and white image shows two small metal miners' lamps placed side by side on a flat surface. Both lamps have a cylindrical body, a spout angled upwards, and a curved hook handle for carrying or hanging. The lamp on the left is darker and has a fitted lid, while the lamp on the right is lighter in colour and features a small brush attached to the end of its spout. Hipperholme Lamps

Head Lamps or Cap Lamps as used in mines at Hipperholme. The one with the single hook was made in Edinburgh and the other one at Hipperholme.
