Greed

"A Cypriot named Televantos, received a tin of condensed milk, a packet of porridge, and other foodstuffs. The poor man sat on his bed and began devouring the milk with a spoon, mixing it with raw porridge directly from the packet. After consuming these, he finished, I suppose, with his tea, and then lay down to sleep, only to wake up with excruciating stomach pains caused by the sudden expansion of the raw porridge. 

The medical services were unable to save him, nor could they perform a stomach pump or operate on him. Before passing away, he said: "I was greedy, sir." The hospital doctor remarked that “This is the first time I had encountered such a case!” "
