Why Share Your Resource on MyLearning?
We host your learning stories on a platform used by teachers, families, and young people across the UK. It’s a simple and lasting way to make your organisation’s stories and collections available to schools — supporting curriculum-based learning and helping you reach new audiences.
Your resource stays online and accessible, giving you a dedicated web page to direct people to. Many organisations see this as a key part of their legacy: a permanent place for people to find and use your stories in their own teaching.
Covering our Costs
MyLearning doesn’t run for profit. We exist to give museums, galleries, archives and other heritage organisations a trusted platform to share learning resources with schools.
It costs around £8,000 a year to keep the site running — this includes secure and reliable hosting, plus a support team that handles any technical issues. To keep MyLearning sustainable, we ask contributors to help cover those costs. We’ve kept the fees as low as possible.
Cost for uploading an existing digital learning resource:
- Administration: £100.00 + VAT
- Five Year Hosting: £100.000 +VAT
TOTAL per Learning Story: £200.00 + VAT
Cost for MyLearning team to create and upload a new digital learning resource:
- Creation of a Learning Story (2 days @ £250 per day): £500.00
- Administration: £100.00 + VAT
- Five Year Hosting: £100.000 +VAT
TOTAL per new Learning Story: £700.00 + VAT
Administration Fee
The administration fee of £100.00 +VAT covers the time it takes for staff to format, upload, add accessibility features and check the published story on MyLearning.
It includes one round of edits for the supplying organisation, once the story is published, so that you can check everything is to your satisfaction.
Five Year Hosting Fee
To enable a long-lasting digital legacy, we take a £100.00 +VAT payment for five years’ hosting upfront. This means you do not need to worry about renewing hosting with us each year.
* This includes all resources connected with a story, for example text, images, videos, audio, interactives and downloadable materials.
Creation of a Learning Story
For those organisations who need support in creating a Learning Story, we offer a service using education specialists to write your resource. The fee of £500.00 + VAT assumes that the contributing organisation has identified the theme of the learning resource to be created and has collated relevant information and resources (for example; images, cuttings, reference materials).
Volunteer run organisations, and those unable to pay, please contact us to discuss how we can work out a solution together
