Marks & Spencer Canterbury Staff: Firefighting Team 1944

From 1939 to 1945, M&S contributed to the war effort in a number of different ways, including training all staff in Air Raid Precautions, creating firefighting teams in stores and raising money to purchase a Spitfire plane.
