The Meritorious Service Medal awarded to Thomas Place

Your medal designs 'hideme'

Pictured here are some of the best medal designs submitted recently by the following young people:
  • Amy Leahy, St John's Primary School, Crowborough, East Sussex
  • Will P, St John's Primary School, Crowborough, East Sussex
  • PJ Fallon, Hixson Middle School, Missouri, USA
  • Dierra Merriweather, Hanceville Middle School, Alabama, USA
We had difficulty choosing just four designs as we have had some fantastic medals submitted, but we think these four show excellent use of colours and shapes and their designers had also thought very carefully about why their medals were awarded - well done!

If you design your own medal and submit it to us, yours might be featured too! Visit  our First World War medals interactive at www.mylearning.org/ww1medals/interactive .

Good luck!
When judging all the designs we look for a good combination of colours, stripes and shapes to represent your individual medal.  We also consider your medal's name and the reasons for which you have decided it will be awarded.
