On Your Marks (staff magazine) article on the launch of Autograph in February 2000. Autograph was designed as a small, capsule collection with statement pieces. Short product runs and quick turnaround meant that the pieces always felt fresh and created a sense of exclusivity (ie there was less chance of finding someone else wearing the same statement piece as you), and use of supermodels in the advertising campaigns helped to present an ultra-stylish image.
