Foraminifera Microscope Slide

Colour photo of a microscope slide with foramanifera specimens. These foraminifera were collected from the Challenger Expedition (1872 - 76). Funded by the British government the expedition was the first of its kind focused on exploring the deep sea. These specimens were collected from a depth of 33 metres from a reef around the island of Fiji.
