Toys from the Past

Toys with wheels

This train set is made of tin plate. It is around 100 years old.

The box lid shows a train travelling along a railway with children playing games in a park nearby.

Does it look like a modern train?

What games are the children playing on the lid?

The wooden toy with wheels is a model post van from 1890. The real size would have been pulled by horses. There are even four small parcels with addresses on.

How would a toy post van be different today?
