Time for Tea

Tea Urn made from Old Sheffield Plate in the early 1800´s

 

 

This urn has been modelled in the shape of a straw beehive, also known as a ‘skep’. 

 

Some manufacturers used the symbol of the beehive when advertising their products, because the bee is seen to be hard working and co-operative.
