Description:
Explore the sights and sounds of the rain-forest as you enter the world of Wakefield explorer Charles Waterton. Follow him into the South American rainforest and find out more about the world’s first nature reserve that he created at Walton.
Find out more about the history of Wakefield and its people, from earliest times to the present day. Discover what the Romans and the Victorians did in the region. Learn more about the battles that have taken place here. Look at the toys that generations of children have played with. Watch films about Wakefield from the 1920s onwards. Discover what it was like to live in Wakefield during the Second World War.
