Description:

Rotherham Archives and Local Studies preserves and provides access to original documents and printed resources covering all aspects of life within the Metropolitan Borough of Rotherham from the 13th century to the present day.


We can help you to trace your family history, discover the history of your village or house, find out how your local area looked in the past. 


We also hold the archive collection of the York and Lancaster Regiment and can help you to understand your Army ancestors’ military service.
