Description:

The early Victorian residence of a mill owner, set within tranquil Whitaker Park, Rossendale Museum contains a fascinating and intriguing collection of objects. Displays include a late Victorian drawing room, fine arts and furniture. The museum also has an amazing natural history collection including a baby elephant, tiger and bird displays.

Learning Programmes:

We offer a range of unique educational sessions at Rossendale Museum. There are two sessions currently available, both suitable for KS1 and KS2. The first is on Domestic Life in Victorian Britain and the second is on Containers. We have a display full of a variety on containers to intrigue and inspire you and sessions include 'The Pattern Box' and 'My Money Bag.'
