Description:
Otley Courthouse is a unique arts and resource centre, created and run by local people, in Otley, West Yorkshire. The old magistrates court has been transformed into a fully accessible centre for people of all ages. There’s a lively evening events programme with great films, theatre, music, dance and cabaret. You can drop into the community cafe, visit the old cell, join a workshop (lots for all ages) use our free computer room and internet access, or enjoy our popular monthly craft fair and visual arts exhibitions.
Learning Programmes:
Saturday Art Stars – exciting art and making workshops for children aged 6–12 every Saturday afternoon, 2pm–3.30pm, in term time. Come all term or drop in when you can.
Holiday workshops for children and young people.
We have a programme of workshops in most school holidays.
Past workshops have included:
Arts and crafts workshops for children aged 5 to 12. Try new ways of painting, printing, claywork, collage, sculpture and lots more!
Big Hoo Ha – Make a film/play/do a gig in a week: for young people aged 12–18
High School Musical II & Joseph with Performance Drama School: for 5 to 18 yr olds
