Description:
Hedon Museum preserves and interprets the archaeological and social history of the Town of Hedon and South Holderness. In addition to our core displays about the town, its haven, civic life, public houses and wartime experiences, we also offer an annual programme of changing exhibitions on specialist themes.
Admission to the museum is free.
Full wheelchair access to the ground floor and stair-lifts to reach first floor gallery. Tea and coffee is available. The museum shop sells a range of souvenirs, toys and local history publications.
The 'Time on My Hands' project is recording memories of people growing up in and around the Holderness area before and during the war years. You can watch videos of some of the recordings at: www.myyorkshire.org
