Learning Programmes:
Harewood is a place of activity and lifelong learning, created by generations of architects, artists, designers, collectors, gardeners, and the people who have lived and worked here. It is a place for inspiration. As an Educational Charitable Trust, it aims to promote the understanding and enjoyment of Harewood as a place of historic and contemporary interest.
The learning offer at Harewood is special and unique because of its ability to offer such a wide range of educational activities for schools, with over 40 sessions for teachers to choose from based in the House, Bird Garden and Grounds. Within the Grounds there is a purpose built Education Suite with computers, whiteboard and digital projection facilities, allowing for a full creative activity programme and includes role play, activities, guided tours and self-led learning visits. Harewood has been recognised for educational excellence and has been awarded a Sandford Award from the Heritage Education Trust for its Learning Programme.
