Louis Le Prince
The Inventor...
In 1888 he built a single lens camera. He then went on to use this camera to film what was most probably the world's first successful attempt to record 'moving' images in Roundhay Park, Leeds.
Louis' invention was patented, meaning that others are prevented from making, using, selling, offering to sell or importing the invention.
