Connect>Create 2010
Connect>Create provides access to the vast and wonderful collections found in Hull Museums and the Ferens Art Gallery, as a primary source of inspiration for art and design students. To celebrate their achievements, the students submit their creative responses into a selection process for an exhibition at the Ferens Art Gallery.
In 2010 we were thrilled to exhibit new work from art and design students selected from colleges across the Humber and East Yorkshire region.
Hull Museum Education continues to develop real commissioning opportunities to inspire young people from a range of art and design disciplines in their own creative endeavours. Student artwork, commissioned digital learning resources, and, critical and theoretical writing, are used as case studies in learning resources for future educational visitors. The exhibition branding and design are amongst the live projects.
The legacy holds new learning resources for future students accessing the exciting and historic art collection, real commissioned work experience and a platform for selected new works.
This partnership has proved to deliver increased and diverse participation in the arts - making museums and galleries relevant to young people today!
