Discover the clues, unlock the secrets and encounter 900 years of Hull’s history- in one street! This exciting new tour brings the history of Hull’s High Street alive!

1 hour tour followed by a 1 hour object handling session.

Key Stage 3/4 led sessions

Guided Tour of High Street

Join an English Heritage Accredited Guide for a tour focusing on collecting visual evidence of High Street’s past, including architectural styles, significant buildings, evidence of trade and geographical features. Tours last two hours and cost £55.00 (to cover staff costs)

Free Media Based Led sessions

Presenting the Past

Using information gathered during a tour of High Street and additional information, sources and images stored within the learning centre, students will produce a short power-point presentation about the history and development of High Street.

Reporting From the Past

Using research carried out prior to the visit, students will film historical news reports interviewing characters from the past.
