Beadwork

What is it?

This cushion cover was made in India using small glass beads to add colour and texture.

There are several ways to add beads to fabric. This picture shows beads sewn on individually or in small groups, in order to cover a whole area with colour and pattern.

Beads can be used individually, or in small groups to accentuate areas of a design or to decorate garments and bags.

How to:

Beads can be sewn on individually or threaded in small groups

If you have a string of small beads you can couch them in place.
