Booking an Educational Workshop

What happens?

A teacher telephones Armley Mills Leeds Industrial Museum to find out about the workshops offered by education staff at the museum.
An Education Officer will provide information about the type of workshops that can be booked and take a provisional booking.  They will usually take a number of details from the customer over the phone.

  • Any telephone enquiries must be recorded on the enquiry record sheets which are used to monitor how many enquiries are being taken.

  • The Education Officer will complete a education booking form (view examples of the forms involved) when taking the details over the telephone to capture further details. A copy is sent to the school as confirmation.

  • Date, time and details of the booking will be recorded in the bookings diary at the museum, so that staff are aware of the event.

  • Just before the visit a further letter is sent out to remind the teacher of the date, time and any further details of their visit.
