Customer Service Records

What are Customer Service Records?

Accurate records are an important part of good customer service. All organisations will keep records of dealings with their customers.

Customer records can provide information about how best to market a company's services and also help to ensure that the organisation runs smoothly. Most records will be stored electronically on a database.

How are customer service records created?

Contact with customers is often necessary to gather the information. Contact can be face to face, written, electronic e.g email, social media or over the telephone.

Examples of the records kept at Armley Mills Industrial Museum are listed on the left hand side and you can also download PDF examples.
