Tiger Shoes

A pair of children’s shoes with tiger faces embroidered into them. The shoes would have been made around 1900-1905.

These are embroidered red silk children’s shoes with a stylised tiger’s heads at the front. The tigers have pale green ears, nose and whiskers. Other embroidery on the sides includes butterflies and flowers.

The shoes form part of the collections at Leeds Museums and Galleries.
