Child Labour In Sheffield

Child Labour can come in many forms. Some will aid the development of the child, but others will take away a child's right to have their basic needs met and obstruct their ability to achieve their full potential.

In certain parts of the world there are some serious issues relating to child labour today. Britain had its own problems with the forced labour of children in the past, which resulted in a lack of security and little or no education for the children involved.

Thanks to campaigning for the rights of children that took place during the 19th Century things have now changed for the better. The attached worksheets give more information about the issues relating to child labour in Sheffield's past.
